As with other stage sets, it's nice when time allows for a little enchancement. Although highly-rated plugins such as AfterBurn could have been used to keep the volumetric rendering to a minimum, I chose here to fake the spotlights here by using simply mapped planes with look-at modifiers applied; relying on a few genuine volumetrics where the camera wouldn't be convinced

Scanline rendering only was used; a shame considering the dramatic possibilities of GI. But this kind of work often has to be turned round very fast, and any requests for a flythrough - such as this - make it impractical. |
