architectural flythrough
- 3ds Max
- After Effects
Two stills from a far larger 3d model which required substantial preparation; extrapolating the relevant geometry from a substantial set of AutoCAD drawings. It provided the opportunity for a relatively more interesting flythrough. Thanks to time constraints, there was little opportunity to do more than pay lip-service to mapping and textures. |

In my forays into the field of 'architectural visualisation' I've generally been obliged to depend on stylistic effect as a foil against the constraints of time and the nature of the briefs themselves - more perhaps than I would have liked.
Working on larger-scale, more detailed and realistic environments and architectures is an area I take considerable interest in - particularly with the advent of 3ds Max's new feature-sets in 2004~5 - namely, dedicated parametric objects, and of course mental ray. |
